Safety & Security (Primary Duty)
Conduct pre-flight safety checks (emergency equipment, doors, oxygen, fire extinguishers, first-aid kits).
Ensure cabin compliance before takeoff and landing (seatbelts, luggage stowage, seats upright, electronic devices off).
Demonstrate and enforce safety procedures (life jackets, oxygen masks, exits).
Monitor cabin throughout the flight for suspicious behavior, security threats, or tampering.
Respond to emergencies such as turbulence, decompression, fire, or hijacking.
Evacuate passengers safely in case of emergency landings or ditching.
Passenger Care & Assistance
Assist special passengers – elderly, unaccompanied minors, pregnant women, PRMs (Passengers with Reduced Mobility).
Provide first aid or medical assistance (trained in CPR, AED, handling sudden illness).
Handle passengers with fear of flying, emotional distress, or disruptive behavior.
Ensure passenger comfort during the flight (temperature, lighting, seating issues).
In-flight Service
Welcome passengers on board and assist with seating arrangements.
Serve meals, snacks, and beverages, including special meals (vegetarian, diabetic, kosher, etc
Sell duty-free items, onboard merchandise, and promote airline services.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of cabin, galleys, and lavatories.
Teamwork & Coordination
Work closely with the captain and flight deck crew for safety updates.
Coordinate with fellow cabin crew for service flow and passenger management.
Report incidents or unusual occurrences via official documentation.
Support airline policies and represent the brand image at all times.
Customer Service & Communication
Provide a professional, courteous, and approachable image of the airline.
Answer passenger queries regarding connections, destinations, or onboard facilities.
Handle complaints tactfully and resolve issues promptly.
Make announcements regarding safety, turbulence, arrival times, and delays.
Cultural Sensitivity & Representation
Handle passengers from diverse nationalities with respect and understanding.
Adapt to different cultural norms, dietary requirements, and languages.
Act as an ambassador of the airline and home country globally.
Post-flight Duties
Check for lost property, clean and secure the cabin after passengers disembark.
Submit reports on medical emergencies, disruptive passengers, or security concerns.
Prepare for the next flight rotation with proper rest and grooming.
